Doyle Ray Moore was born on September 19, 1933 in Milan County in Central Texas and he died on March 13, 2025 at 91 years old. His parents were Lynn Moore and Ivy Griffin Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Bernice Maners, his grandson Brent Hale and his beloved wife of 63 years, JoAn Arthington Moore. He is survived by his children Debra Moore and husband Dennis Tipre, Donna Lampson and husband Sheldon Lampson, and Mark Moore and wife, Karen Kalski - his grandchildren Clinton Hale, Geoff Tipre and Meighan Tipre,Rachel Lampson Reichelt and Naomi Lampson Rivera;and his great granddaughters Zoe Brisbois, Lucina Rivera. He also leaves behind a sister, Edith Beberstein.
Doyle graduated from Belton High School in Texas and attended Navarro College where he was a basketball team star and leader.
Doyle served in the US Air Force for 20 years and the US Postal Service for 20 years.
Doyle enjoyed playing tennis, following college and professional sports and gardening.
Doyle was a happy positive person and a bright light to all who knew him. He dealt with dementia during the last 20 years of his life and the positive way he handled his illness was an inspiration to his family, friends and caretakers.
