David Sebastian Riness 31 of Hamilton, Texas formerly of Washington, IA passed away the morning of Wednesday March 19, 2025, due to smoke inhalation. David was born September 9, 1993, in Washington Iowa to Felicia Riness and Jerry Guengerich.
David gradated from Washington Senior High School in 2010 at the age of sixteen years old. Attended some college in Ottumwa at Indian Hills then went into the Army got thru Basic Training but had medical discharge. He enjoyed playing guitar, collecting knives, hanging out with his friends, and going to work out at the fitness center.
David is survived by his mother Felicia Armstrong (Mike Humphries) of Hamilton Texas, brother Clayton Humphries also of Hamilton one uncle Danny Riness of Brighten, IA one aunt Gina Goodwin of Coralville, IA Grandma Dawn Hesseltine Father Jerry Guengerich (Angie) of Washington, IA his dad William Holmes and two sisters Elizabeth Holmes and Jessica Holmes, one niece Iris, many great aunts, great uncles and cousins. David is preceded in death by his grandpa Jim Hesseltine of Brighton, IA great grandma Barbara Mayor and great grandpa Louie Mayor.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 5, 2025, at 2:00PM at Jones Eden Funeral in Washington Iowa.
