It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bill Shedden at the Henderson Hospital on Monday, April 26, 2010 in his 91st year. Devoted son of the late Elizabeth McDill and William Shedden. Predeceased by his wife and love of his life Ethel Seed (1969), his son Gord Shedden (2008) and his granddaughter Jennine Atanas (1993). He will be truly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Wayne Atanas and his daughter-in-law Wendy Shedden. He was so proud of his grandchildren – Jacqueline (Dave) Seeley, Charlene Elston, Brent (Dawn) Shedden and Melissa (James MacKay) Shedden. Bill adored and was truly proud of his 7 great-grandchildren – Mikayla, Megan and Lauren Seeley, Liam and Desta Shedden, and Olivia and Connor Elston. Big Brother and special friend to sister-in-law Audrey Webb. Bill started his long career as a machinist with his father Bill at Ford Smith Machine Company and retired as President of Oak-Burl Industries with his son Gord and grandson Brent. Bill was known for his kind heart and love of family. Friends are invited to join the family at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E., on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Andrews United Church, 479 Upper Paradise Rd., on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Henderson Hospital – Ward F5 for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to the management and staff of the Westmount Terrace Retirement Home for their friendship and loving care.
