Born December 15, 1943 passed away September 22, 2015. Bill was the only child to his late parents, Janet and Robert Gibson of Hamilton, Ontario. He will remain in the hearts of his wife Linda, son Robert James & his wife Karen. His legacy will live on in the lives of his adored grandchildren Alyssa, Lawson and Lyric. He will be fondly remembered by Barb & Chuck Cicero. Dearest nephew of Pete and Betty Corbett, and Cathie Drysdale. Bill graduated from Delta Secondary High School. After graduation he worked at Stelco. Bill went on to enhance his career by joining the Millwrights, Local 1916 and had worked all over the province of Ontario. Bill was a lover of the outdoors. He was an avid skier and golfer. Always passionate about the environment. He enjoyed biking, hiking, scuba diving, working in the garden, spending time at the YMCA and special time with his grandchildren. He loved to travel and meet new people. Bill was a retired 40 year member of Local 1916. His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 10 a.m. in the chapel followed by the interment in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
