Peacefully on October 10, 2016 in his 100th year. Predeceased by his first wife Edith Welch & by his second wife Kay Mallick. He will be dearly missed by his stepchildren and their families and by all his extended family and friends. He will be fondly remembered as the "Candy Man" to his friends at the Heritage Green Retirement Home. A special thank you to his caregivers especially Linda & Meghan and to all the staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their loving care and support. A memorial gathering to celebrate Russ' life will be held at the Cresmount Funeral Home "Upper James Chapel", 1020 Upper James St. on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
