Wanda Jacobs

October 15, 1925-February 7, 2015

Gone to a better place, to once again be with her beloved husband Frank, who predeceased her on October 3, 2013. Wanda missed Frank terribly. In 62 years of marriage, Wanda and Frank were inseparable. Wanda was also predeceased by her father Josef, mother Francesska, sisters Christine and Emilia, who were all of Poland. As a young girl of 14, she emigrated from Poland in June 1939. She later met Frank and married him in April 1951 at St. Stanislaus Church in Hamilton. She is survived by many relatives, nieces and nephews in Ontario, USA and Poland. (Niece Wanda Kwiatkowska and nephew Zbigniew Feledyk). Wanda passed away at Burloak Long Term Care in Burlington, where she resided since November 2013. Special thanks to all the staff but especially nurses Bailey and Erin for their compassion and genuine kindess shown to Wanda. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 12 noon. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington alongside her husband and soulmate.
