Beloved Mother of Chad GIBBS (Michelle), Kathryn August (nee GIBBS). Cherished Grandmother to Evan, Sarah, Lauren, Nicolas. Eldest of nine siblings. Predeceased by her Mother Marion Dashnay (nee O’Conner) and Father Edwin Dashnay.
Born and raised in North Bay, Ontario, Vivian loved all things outdoors and found joy in nature. She moved to Hamilton in the 1960’s where she raised her children. She was a brave Girls Baseball Coach, spirited Hockey Mom and Number 1 Fan and proud supporter of her Grandchildren’s many activities. Vivian taught her family consummate work ethic through her career with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board.
With an angel’s voice, Vivian found joy in music, choir and sharing her talent with her Faith Community and family.
Vivian stood by her children without waver and attentively mentored her grandchildren through life. We are endlessly grateful to her. Vivian will be missed by her loyal, cherished dog Eddy.
Sincere gratitude to the Friends and Staff of Primrose Lane who brought Vivian, friendship, care, joy and dignity.
