Tom Mesic

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Tom at the Juravinski Hospital on January 11, 2016 in his 84th year, after a lengthy illness and surrounded by the love of family. Beloved husband of Milka for 58 years. Loving father of Hilde Fuchs (Reiner), Rose Janjicek (Tihomir) and Tom Mesic (Gloria). Cherished Deda of Sandra, Sophia and Matthew. Tom will be sadly missed by extended family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Special thanks to the staff at the Juravinski Hospital and Ridgeview Nursing Home for their exceptional care. Visitation at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 6-9pm and Thursday from 2-4pm and 6:30pm-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:45pm on Thursday. Funeral Mass will celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Church, Sv. Kriz (Krizpolje) or the Alzheimer Foundation.
