She was an amazing mum to Hannah Radford (Shane Duncan) and Graham Radford. She was over-the-moon about being Nora’s Grandma and truly cherished the time she spent with her. She is predeceased by her parents Ken and Audrey Radford and uncle and aunt Joe Radford and Sheila Laidlaw-Radford.
Susan worked as a chemist and cardio-respiratory technician before finding her true calling as a Social Worker with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board, where she dedicated her life to helping her clients. She had many interests but particularly loved the Sciences, advocating for social justice and volunteering her time to help others when she could. Life was not easy for Susan, but she never showed anything but optimism and hope for the future. She treated everyone she met with empathy and kindness and will be remembered by the many people whose lives' she touched.
Hannah and Graham would like to thank Susan’s ‘sister-friends’ Caroline, Catie, Debbie, and Suzanne for always being there for her.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (905) 528-6303 on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from noon until 1:30 pm followed by the Celebration of Life Service in the Marlatt Chapel at 1:30 pm. Cremation will follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Good Shepherd of Hamilton would be appreciated by her family.
