I was honoured to have such a beautiful, kind sister in law Stephanie.  I will miss our talks, our laughs but most of all your kindness. You will live on thru your boys and we will always be there for them. You were one of the strongest woman l dver knew, while fighting your own battle with cancer you were always helping me thru my battle with cancer, you have given me so much strength and positive vibes. You were an angel here on earth and l know your a special angel in heaven.  FLY HIGH MY BEAUTIFUL SISTER IN LAW FLY HIGH. When I think of Stephanie I think of her infectious laughter. She could brighten any room with her smile. She was a kind and loving woman who will live in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She made us all better, kinder, happier and a lot more open hearted . It was my pleasure to have known her.

Stephanie was like a sister to me.  We walked to kindergarten  together.  Our friendship endured even though I went to boarding school from the time I was six.  We walked all over Hamilton as growing girls and she was never tired of my holding her arm for guidance because I was blind.  We went swimming together and she read books to me, her favourite being James Bond.  We went to each other’s church’s at Ukrainian Easter or Christmas.  We skated in the winter at Powell Park and walked to hear the band at Gage Park on summer Sunday evenings, never missing a chance to get an ice cream at the Dairy Queen if we had a nickel.  I always looked forward to seeing her when I came home.  

In time, Stephanie walked down the aisle with me as my bridesmaid.  We rejoyced in each other’s children and made fabulous carrot cakes.  She celebrated my 60th birthday with me.  We shared a lifetime of love and laughter.  We never had a bad word between us.

Stephanie reached out to her neighbours.  My mother was often cheered by a visit from Stephanie when she was sick.  All of the old ladies on Gibson Street loved her.  She was always so positive.

But most of all, Stephanie was devoted to her family.  She was proud of her boys and thrilled with her grandson.  She was close to her brother.  If she came to visit me for a day, she would spend the day before making sure that her men had everything they needed.  Her greatest concern was for her men.  

We were all so blessed to have you as a sister and a friend.  I will miss you.

I worked with Stephanie for many years, she truly was an upbeat person.  You could always count on her to put a smile on any co workers or patients face.  She was kind, loving and generous.
