I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sheldon. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Although my time knowing Sheldon was brief, he will always be remembered by me for his kindness, wit, and passion. He shared many stories and experiences with me. Sometimes I felt like I was interrupting his workouts, but after a while I realized, he loved the social side to working out so much more. He was an amazing member and an even greater friend.

Sheldon and I performed together as The Elderly Brothers. His unique sense of humor and his musical skill made music fun and rewarding for me. His passing leaves a huge hole in my life. I will miss him. My condolences to Chris and the family.

So sorry to hear about Sheldon.  Seeing the picture of him with his guitar brought back fond memories of sing-alongs at my parent's house.  Sheldon on guitar, my Dad( Uncle Bunny) on harmonica and a number of us trying to play the spoons.  There was even someone doing the Charleston..you know who you are.  My condolences to Sheldon's family.

Dear Chris and Family

I was deeply sadden to learn of Sheldon’s recent passing. He was a wonderful man and cherished friend. 
 I have memories of working with Sheldon, fishing with him on the French River and golfing together. What Sheldon lacked in his golf abilities was more than made up with his fishing prowess. Sheldon had a rule on his fishing boat, no sandwiches until you caught a fish. I almost starved to death on many occasions and needless to say he had more than his share of the goodies!
After his retirement Sheldon eagerly began a new chapter in his life in Stoney Creek where he could be closer to family. Music became a passion for him which was only surpassed by the deep love for family.  
He will be missed by so many that he has impacted as a friend, co-worker, sponsor, musician and mentor.
Chris I am thinking of you and wishing you moments of peace and comfort as you deal with your loss. May the memories of the special times spent with Sheldon offer some comfort and peace during this difficult time.

So saddened to read of Sheldon's passing; we have so many fond memories of Sheldon and spending time with you and him; he was such a pillar of the community, and when policing here in our town, we couldn't have felt safer.  He was a wonderful person, and I know how much he will be greatly missed.

It’s with the deepest of sadness that I write this offering of condolences to Chris and the entire family. I first met Sheldon when he was a rookie cop and I was a teenager working at the Holiday Inn  in Sudbury. He became an inspiration to me to follow my dream of being a police officer. I did become a police officer several years afterward and that career eventually led me back to Sudbury where I was fortunate enough to work with Sheldon  for a few years.  Good times to say the least.  
I hope that your cherished memories will help to comfort all of his family and friends during this very difficult time  in the weeks and months to come. Rest in peace Sheldon and know you will be missed and will never be forgotten.

I am very sad to hear this. Sheldon was kind to me as a student when I was doing ride alongs even though he was in Traffic and only met me during some coffee breaks. He remembered me when I was hired 6 years later. I am sure he taught me my love for telling stories. He enjoyed being a police officer and really found his niche in fraud. I never saw an officer who could speak to witnesses and victims with attention and compassion like Sheldon. He could show empathy to criminals causing them to open up and confess to "Father" Sheldon. He had a presences that made everyone aware whenever he was in a room. He was very funny as anyone who met him could tell. He had a capacity of attention to whoever he was speaking with. He will be missed by everyone  10-7 Sheldon Roberts. Rest in your end of watch.

I worked with Sheldon in the 70’s. Though I didn’t make a career of policing, I remember Sheldon and working with him. He was always kind and considerate toward the new female officers.  I always felt like his equal. He will be missed by all whose hearts and lives he touched. Rest in peace. 
I was sadden  to hear he has passed and hope that all the wonderful memories will help you and your family during this time of great loss.

Sorry for your lost Chris.
Sheldon and I go back to the day we had our physical for the police department.Sheldon was colour blind and asked me what the test was. Dr Pidutti pointed a red pencil to something green and then blue Sheldon passed.
Sheldon started on the job one day before me we worked in traffic together and CID.
Sheldon was a great partner and loved and respected by all including the bad guys.

Sending condolences to Chris and the family of Chris and Sheldon.  Of late, Sheldon drove me to the hospital, where we arrived to a fellow making a scene in the square at the entrance.  Sheldon jumped out of the car, ran to open the door on my side and gallantly escorted me past the commotion into the building. Always the take charge protector and the life of the party, Sheldon will be missed but never forgotten.  RIP and thanks for the memories, big guy with a big personality and a big heart  💙 🙏

Going far back to the 80's I remember getting rides in Sheldon's police car in Sudbury and him letting us 'run the plates' of the drivers in front of us.  Always fun to be had with him around and ALWAYS one of the best hugs! Such warmth.  He will be greatly missed. 💙
