After a hard-fought battle with complications following surgery, Sheldon passed away peacefully and on his terms on February 12, 2024, in Hamilton. There are not enough words to capture the life lived and legacy left by Sheldon, “Papa” Roberts. He had a personality larger than life and was loved by too many to list. He left a legacy of funny stories and memories that will be remembered forever. He was a proud husband, father, brother, dog daddy, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was passionate about playing guitar, his Toronto Blue Jays, golfing, fishing, and following the 12 steps of AA for 45 years. After retiring from the Sudbury regional police department, Sheldon worked with the Hamilton SPCA as an advocate for all animals. After years of travelling with Chris, they welcomed their own fur baby “Willow” to the family.
In lieu of flowers. the family would appreciate any donations to the SPCA or the Juravinski Hospital where he received great care in their surgical oncology ward.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 1pm-4pm.
