Ruby Joy McConnell

1905-2011

At the Village of Wentworth Heights on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Predeceased by her loving husband James (1972), son Donald (1987) baby grandson Donnie (1957) and grandson Jack Booth (1980). She leaves her loving family, daughter June Booth, grandchildren Judith Booth, James Booth, Wendy Edwards (Gary) and Kathy Campbell. Great grandchildren Cheryl Booth, Jeffrey and Jeremy Edwards, Kelly, Kristy and Carley Booth, Taylor, Holly and Maddison Campbell and great great grandson Kruze, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruby was a long time member of Olivet United Church, past member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #163, the McNab St. YWCA and the Mount Hamilton Retirees Club and was very active and supportive in all. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (1020 Upper James Street, Hamilton) on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. in the chapel. According to her wishes cremation will take place with a private family service, upon interment, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to extend our deepest thanks to all the staff at the Village of Wentworth Heights and especially those of Rymal Wing, for their care and compassion and to Dr. Pugsley of the Firestone Clinic for his many years of friendly, dedicated care.

Ruby - A precious Jewel. She lived life to the fullest and danced till the music stopped playing. We will miss her.
