Bob Kemp Hospice with his loving
wife at his side at the age of 71.
Survived by his loving wife Joanne
(nee Stayshyn) Puskas. Dearest son
of the late Maria (nee Cebarj) and
John Puskas. Will be sadly missed by
his brothers William (Bill), John
(deceased), Stephen and Christopher
(passed away when they were
babies) cause: whooping cough;
nephews Dennis (Bev/wife), Ronald,
Bob (Shelley/wife) Kuzyk, Blake,
Andy, David Puskas; nieces Kim and
Jill Puskas. Also has many greatnephews
and nieces. Growing into
his teen years, Ron had a dream of
going into the Air Force.
Unforeseen, his father passed away
instead. Ronald’s career began at
Greenings making a grand total of
$35.00/ weekly. He proceeded by
donating $20.00 to the family
coffers. The rest was for Ronald. He
eventually was hired by Dofasco and
was in his 31st year when Ronald
retired then started another career
in security. He was there for ten
years. Ronald and Joanne met in the
Barbados in 1966 and love bloomed.
Returning to Hamilton they
continued their relationship and
married August 2, 1968. Time went
quickly and 44 years passed. Now it
has come to this, the obituary of a
quiet man and a loving husband.
We were not blessed with
grandchildren but were blessed with
a strong love for each other. Ronald
Joseph Phillip was a very special
individual. He never spoke of his
accomplishments or showed off.
Ronald just did things quietly and
got the job done. He was an avid
fisherman and enjoyed the
outdoors. He loved to putter around
his house, adored all the pets we
had treated like children. When
hard times came Ronald was my
steady rock. Always there. The end
of the road has come. Ronald did
not deserve the disease and the
complications that came with his
cancer. It sapped him of strength
and left him weak as a baby kitten
meowing for comfort and arms to
rest in. So God reached down and
picked Ronald up in his arms and
took him home to peace. Love you
sweet heart forever and ever. Now
for his guardian Angels at the Dr.
Bob Kemp Hospice. I had lost hope
in finding compassion that these
special people gave to Ronald. They
made the road easier for Ronald and
for me. Also with greatest thanks to
Dr. Adrian Hornich and to the
Juravinski staff for all their
compassionate care shown to my
husband, Bernadette (Berny), Beryl,
Bonnie, Brenda, Christie, Doreen,
Erin, Jennifer, Johanna, Mary,
Maureen, Michael (Mike), Sarah,
Terri, Vivian K., Vivian P., and
Yvette. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation for Ronald
will take place from the Markey
Dermody Funeral Home, 1774
King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on
Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 12 noon
up until service time at 3 p.m.
Donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp
Hospice, to the S.P.C.A. or to a
charity of your choice would be
appreciated.
I will love you for all eternity
Ronald. You were the reason I lived.
