Rodney Murphy

Peacefully after a brief illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, November 15, 2010 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Coffey). Loving father of Glenn and Cathy (Guy Larocque). Cherished grandfather of Melissa and Heather. Predeceased by his sister Iona, her husband Bill Rielly, and by his brother Harold and his wife Eileen. Survived by his brother Gary. Retired employee of International Harvester (J.I. Case) and an avid racquetball player at Circle Racquetball Club and Cedar Springs. He was born in Huntingdon, Quebec and enjoyed returning to visit with family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Packer and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Thursday, November 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered from Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue East, on Friday, November 19th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
