Richard William Mills

It is with much sadness and many fond memories that we announce the passing of our dear father Richard (Dick) Mills, RCNVR, a World War II veteran, at Macassa Lodge on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in his 97th year.

Predeceased by his wife Vera (CWAC). Loving father of Rick (Isabelle), Terry (Zona), Cyndy, Blake (Susan), Christopher (Linda), Scott (Margaret), and Cameron (Samantha). Predeceased by son Wayne and son-in-law Carey. Proud and dedicated grandfather of Kathy, Ben, Patti, Michael (Sarah), Jesse, Marc (Emily), Rebecca (Francesco), Emily, Stuart, and David and great grandfather of Luciano and James. Dad played an active and loving role in all our lives and our families’ lives. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, love of family and playing an enthusiastic and supportive role in the lives of his grandchildren. Due to the pandemic a private family service and interment will take place. For those attending, proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, will be required to attend funeral services for those age 12 and older and masks are required. A celebration of life will be announced in late spring so that family and friends can join hands and share stories of our father and friend.
