Raymond "Raffy" Richardson

Cherished husband of Christine for 69 years, they shared a beautiful and steadfast love that inspired us all. Beloved father of Carolyn (Michael), Debbie (Paul, predeceased), and Lori (John). Dear Papa to his grandchildren, Christa, Jennifer, Steven, Ashley, Lisa, and David, and seven darling great grandchildren. A recipient of the Order of Niagara, Ray was a devout pillar in the Anglican Church of Hamilton, serving as a choir member, lay reader, and rector’s warden at St. Timothy’s and subsequently St. Michael’s. A proud retiree after many dedicated years as a fabricator at Stelco, an ardent fan of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and longtime summer resident of Sauble Beach, Ray will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know and love him. Donations to Margaret’s Place are greatly appreciated. The family thanks the staff of Hamilton General Hospital and Margaret’s Place Hospice for their loving care.

His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, 1188 Fennell Ave. E. on Thursday at 11 a.m. with reception to follow.
