Patrick Tompkins

Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Pacey) for 41 years. Loving father of Lindsay (Derek) and Hayley (Dan). Cherished son of Pauline and the late Chris. Loved grandpa of Brooks. Dear brother of the late Janice, Peter, Susan (Dean), Shaun (Wendy), Michael and Sheila (Oliver). Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Patrick was a kind and loving man with an endless capacity for caring. Although challenged by many health issues over the last 12 years, he still found ways to help, support or enrich the lives of others. Patrick was a devoted family man and lived life celebrating his two daughters. He took great pleasure in supporting his girls competitive dancing, university degrees and other successes in their lives. Although his family was simply who he was to his soul, he was also known as “Papa Pat” to others who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1 pm with a reception to follow. Donations in Patrick’s memory may be made the Juravinski Cancer Centre or Hamilton Food Bank.
