After her children were off to school she was the school secretary at Twin Oaks Elementary school in Fabreville, Quebec. She moved to the Kitchener area in 1972 and eventually joined the Kitchener/Waterloo Record newspaper as a tour guide. Pat moved to Toronto in 1977 to take the position of Dean of Women at Havergal College where she was a mother-away-from home to many fine young girls. In her retirement years she was active in St. Elizabeth Village on many committees and doing good work for those in need.
Pat had many talents beyond her organizational skills. She enjoyed painting beautiful pictures of birds, playing the piano, writing poetry and making Jokum sock monkeys for not only her grand and great grand children but many others as well.
Pat brought her sense of style and good humour to every occasion. She will be missed and remembered with love by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 12 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at St Elizabeth’s Villa 391 Rymal Road Hamilton, Ontario
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hamilton General Hospital where the care she received in the Cardiac Unit was friendly and compassionate.
