Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of the late Victor. Loving mother of Lisa Proulx (Cliff) and Elizabeth. Cherished grandma of Kyle and Victoria. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Monica Plumbley, sister Patricia and in-laws Ezio and Eva Verticchio. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Ellis, nurse Sally, nurses and staff at the chemotherapy suite at the Juravinski Hospital, nurse Jennifer and the PSWs of CCAC, Sheldene of VON, who was a great friend to her. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with Vigil Prayers at 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 128 Edgemont Street South, on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
