Passed away peacefully and with dignity at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in his 90th year. Loving husband of the late Helen (Halia) Kozak. Much loved father of Walter, Olga and her husband Larry Afinec, and Lillian and her husband Kevin Bond. Dear Did (Grandfather) of Andrea, and Matthew and his wife Michelle. Great-Did (Great-Grandfather) of Brady Matthew. Mike retired from Stelco after many years of service. Longtime member of St. Vladimir Cathedral and a member of the Order of St. Andrew, Canada. Family will receive friends at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, (east of Sanford Ave.), on Tuesday, January 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Panakhyda at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 855 Barton St. E., Hamilton, on Wednesday , January 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. Reception to follow funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, Oakville. Donations, in his memory, may be made to St. Vladimir Cathedral or charity of your choice.
