Maureen (Edwards) Fletcher

Maureen was born in Wales, UK, on May 14, 1942, and she went to be with her Lord on January 6, 2023. Maureen grew up in South Wales. Along with her husband, Thomas Alan Fletcher, Maureen immigrated to Canada in 1968. Thomas Alan and Maureen served as missionaries in Colombia, South America for 17 years. In her later years, Maureen loved volunteering at the Mission Thrift Store in Hamilton, Ontario. Maureen loved her Lord, her family and her many friends. Maureen will be lovingly remembered by her family: daughter Gillian (Gary) Lawrence; daughter Rosemary Cochran; son Christopher Alan Fletcher; brother-in-law Denis (Noreen) Fletcher; grandchildren (Jesse [Michelle] Lawrence, Joe Cochran, Jamie [Maria] Cochran, Jared Thomas Lawrence, Tyler Alan Cochran, Tyrel Cochran, Dustin Fletcher, Andy Fletcher, and Kari Fletcher); great-grandchildren (Jeremy Lawrence, MacKenzi Lawrence, Tanner Lawrence, Julian Miranda, Ivy Lawrence, Penelope Lawrence, Gwendolyn Lawrence, Victoria Lawrence, and Jesse Lawrence, Jr.); and many nephews and nieces. Maureen was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Thomas Alan Fletcher; parents Gomer and Margaret (Price) Edwards; her siblings Irene Tirzah Coppin (Alfred) Fox, Mary Julia Coppin, William Lloyd (Dorothy) Coppin, David Gwyllym (Rosemary) Coppin, and Arthur George (Beatrice) Coppin; her son-in-law Matthew (Rosemary) Cochran, and her grandson Jason Lawrence.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 1PM at Calvary Burlington Church (2458 St Frances Drive, Burlington ON L7P 1V5). The service will also be live streamed and the recording saved for future viewing. You may view it at
