Predeceased by her parents Benny and Stella. Lovingly remembered by cousins Norman and Chris, stepdaughter Dawn, BFF Marita, Liz, Margaret, Chris and Brydon and many other cousins and friends.
During the late sixties and into the seventies, Marilynne worked part-time at the Grandstand at the CNE in Toronto (now known as the BMO Field) at one of the food booths. Throughout those years, she met many celebrities, received autographs and enjoyed talking with everyone. She had many stories to tell.
Later, after teaching for a year, she worked at the Workers Compensation Board (WSIB) in Toronto, then finishing in the Hamilton Office.
After leaving the board, along with volunteering her time at Macassa Lodge, Marilynne worked part-time as a cashier first at Hy & Zels and then at No Frills, where she enjoyed meeting customers and fellow employees and making new friends.
Her many hobbies throughout the years included baking cakes, crocheting hats and blankets, which she shared the results of both with friends, relatives and organizations benefitting peoples’ needs.
The love of her “boys” – Chico and Pancho (who are with her now) brought great joy and companionship to her for 16 wonderful years.
