It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maria at Victoria Gardens Nursing Home on May 31, 2014 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore. Loving mother of Luigia Scala (the late Joe) and Angelo Sferrazza. Dear grandma of Daniele, Salvatore and Angelo. Survived by her brother-in-law Angelo Sferrazza and family. Special thanks to Victoria Gardens Nursing Home for their care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 3:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10am. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
