Maria Kolkin

Passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, April 1, 2013 in her 95th year. Maria was predeceased by her husband Volodymyr (1978) and her sons George (1999) and Leon (2007). Cherished mother of Olga (Lubomyr). Also survived by her sister Lada. Beloved Baba of Kathy (Rich), Lydia (Peter), Denis, Kelly, Tanya, Tamara, and Martin. Great-grandmother of Isabella and Lucas. Also survived by two daughters-in-law, Mary and Annie. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Ukraine. Visitation will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton, on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Panakhyda at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Integrated Stroke Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital. Their compassion and dedication was truly exceptional.
