Margaret Bodden

Bodden, Margaret Rose (nee Rush) March 7, 1944 – June 26, 2012 Peacefully in her sleep after a courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by love and with family by her side, Margaret Rose Bodden passed away on June 26, 2012. Beloved wife of Garry and cherished mother of Garry Junior, Claudine, and Darryl (Lori). Much loved granny to Daniel, Blair, Brooklyn and Emma. Margaret is lovingly remembered by sisters Alice Melly (Patrick) and Lilian Buchanan (Iain), brother Hugh Junior, and special cousin Phyllis Rush. Predeceased by parents Hugh and Jean Rush and by sisters Elizabeth Rush, Jessica Benson (Joseph), Jean Pender (Jim), Maisie Matone (Victor), and Patricia Baiardo (Vincenzo) and brother John Rush (Barbara). Dear daughter-in-law to Ed and Norma Bodden and sister-in-law to Ed Bodden Jnr (Julie), Rick Bodden (Shelley), Wayne Bodden (Cathy), Marilyn Hughes (Shaun) and Darlene DeVries (Henry). Aunt Maggie will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada and Scotland. Grateful thanks go to her good friends and neighbours Ian and Cathy Rostron for their generous hearts and friendship. Heartfelt thanks are also extended to Dr. Finlay and Dr. Woods for their special care. Margaret was a kind and loving woman who was dearly loved by all those who knew her. She lived a good life and leaves a lasting legacy of love and generosity of spirit to her children and grandchildren. Following Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Friday, June 29, from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m. A celebration of Margaret’s life will then take place at Marquis Gardens, 1050 Rymal Road East, (between Gage and Ottawa) Hamilton, from 4.30 to 6.30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, and if so desired, donations may be made to the Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association, Juravinski Cancer Centre, 699 Concession Street. Hamilton, ON., L8V 5C2, whose kindness provided much comfort to our mom during her long journey home. Forever and a day, Maggie May!
