Predeceased by daughter Theresa, Mother to Maria (Glenn), John (Cindy), Lisa, Stephen (Mary) and eight grandchildren (Megan, Joseph, Kristopher, Matthew, Emma, Katie, Maggie and Claire.) Sister to David (Patricia). Best friend of Diana Freisen for 68 years.
Kathy was deeply committed to her community, volunteering her time and talents for many organizations. For over 20 years, she served hot meals and helped those in need at the Good Shepherd and Macassa Lodge through Meals on Wheels. She earned her 10-year pin from the VON and was a dedicated member of the Blessed Sacrament Church CWL. Kathy volunteered with kindness and care for others. For a time, Kathy served with the HMS Star Naval Reserve in Hamilton. Kathy was a woman of faith, and this guided her throughout her life with love, humility and compassion.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff of St. Peters who provided care and comfort to Kathy and her family in her final days. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m with Vigil Prayers to be said at 7:30pm. A funeral Mass will celebrated on Wednesday, September 25th at 11:00 a.m. at The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 East 37th Street, Hamilton. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster.
