He fought his cancer for 14+ years yet always found the strength to live his life to the fullest. He dedicated 30 years of service to the Mississauga Fire Department and retired as a District Chief. Outside of his career, he was an avid golfer and talented golf instructor always eager to share his love for the game with others.
Sully was the beloved husband of Patty for 23 years and loving father to Sheri (Bryan) and Aymie (Bryan). He was a devoted grandpa to Nathan. He is survived by his brothers Danny (Brenda), Butch (Cathy) and Michael (Mary Beth) as well as his former wife Sandy and former mother in law June. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving mother Rita Sullivan and his father Francis Sullivan.
His legacy was one of service from being a firefighter, volunteering with United Way, supporting burn victims, teaching CPR, just to name a few. He was always the life of the party and holds the distinguished honour of 10 holes-in-one during his golf career.
We would like to thank the staff of Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their compassion and treating Sully with the dignity and respect that he so deserved. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider a donation to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Special thanks to Dr. Kouroukis at the Juravinski Cancer Hospital for his compassionate care and kindness given to Sully throughout the years.
