It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our so dearly loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend at St. Joseph’s Hospital on May 31st, 2019 at the age of 98. Loving and devoted wife of the late Gordon (2008) for 61 years. Dearly loved mother of Gary (Elaine), Paul (the late Carol), and Cindy Jewell (Danny). Loving grandmother of Matthew (Alanna), Adam (Elly), Jennifer (John), Jordan, Ashley (Matt), Taylor (Andy), Brett, and Megan. Cherished and loving great-grandmother of Lucas, Emma, Kaleb, Benjamin, Alice, Chloe, Cameron, Abigail and Charlotte. Loving sister of the late Angelo and Mary Marranca, the late Jimmy and Rosie Marranca, the late Carm and Sam Boccaccio, and the late Connie and Ken McLachlan. Predeceased by her parents Maria and Andrew Marranca. Dear sister-in-law of Jackie Craig (the late Alex), and the late Joan Miller (Tommy) and numerous nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Christina Fugere for the exceptional care of our parents and all of the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, 5th floor Clinical Teaching Unit and 5th Floor Complex Care for your kindness and compassion. A Funeral Mass will take place at St.Catherine of Siena Parish, 416 Mohawk Rd. E., on Wednesday, June 5th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital or a charity of your choice. Jennie loved to cook for her family and friends, she loved to win at euchre, she loved her Hamilton Ticats, but most of all, she loved us!
