He was a loving best friend and partner to his wife Leanne. Words cannot describe what an amazing Dad Jeff was to Anders and Brody. He was such a great support and role model, his boys are funny, sweet and caring lads because of it. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family: Dear brother to Steven (Cheryl), Peter (Sorina), Doug and Audrey. Son of Moira and predeceased by his father Pierre and his sister-in-law Jeanette. Son-in-law to Allan and Donna Parsons. Brother-in-law to Lorie (Don) and Scott (Karen). Jeff also leaves behind a lot of fans, including all his nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
Jeff will be remembered by many as a solid friend, a confidant with a calm voice of reason, a generous soul and the greatest sense of humour. Jeff’s love of music helped him and his family throughout his life and his journey through it. Jeff was a respected colleague to many at CRA and a hardcore competitor in sports pools with many of his friends and family.
As we faced Jeff’s struggles and challenges as a family, we found ourselves blessed by so many people to help and support us. It really does “take a village” and our village has been here for us. We give a heartfelt “Thank you!” to all our family and friends who continue to help along the way. There have been so many who have supported Jeff in his battle. With deepest appreciation to Dr. Emily Ow for her ongoing dedication and support to all of us. Special thanks to Dr. Anil Kapoor, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, and the incredible staff from C3.
We cannot thank the staff enough at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice who took great care of him and stood with him through his greatest and final challenge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
