It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jim, surrounded by the love of his family, on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in his 79th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Linda. Loving father of Debbi (Sue), and Dawna (Scott). Proud Gpa of Kelsi (Jeff), Hayden, Connor, London (Zach), and Grayson. Cherished Pa to Jeremy and Wesley. Big brother to Catherine, Marjorie (Dave), and Joe (Nadette). Predeceased by his parents and three brothers. We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to his PSW's, Dr. Freitag, Dr. Ajzenberg, and the ICU team at the Hamilton General Hospital for the extraordinary care shown to him and his family.
Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, July 20th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11 am. Cremation to follow. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to a charity of your choice.
