Ioannis "John" Rallis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John at the Juravinski Hospital surrounded by his family on December 27, 2010 in his 76th year. Predeceased by his parents Athena and Nikolas. Loving husband to Dena in their 49th year of marriage. Cherished father to sons Nik (Gloria) and Tom (Lora). Beloved brother to Steve (Venessa). Devoted grandfather to Tina, Yanni, Emilia and Victoria. Loving uncle to Athena, Mary, Nick, Dianne, Potoula, Christine, George and Nick. Sadly missed by cousins Alexandra and Alex. John was past president of The Greek Community at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. He worked hard all his life and his positive attitude and strength inspired us all. He lived for his family and friends. The loves of his life were his grandchildren. He was so proud of them. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Juravinski Hospital ICU nurses and doctors for their amazing care, without whom this process would have been more difficult. The family would also like to thank all the friends who came to the hospital to visit and were there when the family needed them most. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, December 29th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayer vigil Wednesday at 7 p.m. Funeral service from St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22 Head Street, Hamilton, on Thursday, December 30th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
