Hyacinth passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023 in her 93rd year.
Beloved wife of the late James Oliver Wood (1985). Predeceased by her loving son Berkeley James Wood. Loving mother of Lori McCrudden (late Gary) and Diana Wood. Cherished grandma of Kristy, Doug, Darren, Angela and Jimmy. Survived by four great-grandchildren, two sisters and many friends and family.
Hyacinth provided loving daycare for Jen Walten in the 1970’s and Jen still refers to her as ‘our mom’.
Hyacinth was a devoted member of St Michael’s Anglican Church and a well-known Avon lady on the east mountain since the 1950’s.
Arrangements entrusted with Cresmount Funeral Home, Fennell Chapel. A visitation will be held at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, 1188 Fennell Ave East, Hamilton on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Anglican Church on Thursday, January 12 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. George’s Cemetery.
