Helen was born in Cetingrad, Croatia. At the age of 16, she immigrated to Canada, where she came to the family farm in St. Williams, Ontario. Afterwards, she went to school to become a hairdresser in London, Ontario where she met her husband, Mato. Together they raised their two sons in faith, love and family. Helen took in many relatives into her home as they came from Croatia, showing the love and charity, she always had. She enjoyed taking her sons to sports and loved to make their favourite meals and desserts, her Tim-tarts were legendary. She also enjoyed knitting, baking, sewing and going for walks. She was a very proud Canadian Croatian. Her greatest love was her grandkids.
