Helen Sikora

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Helen, on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her parents Stephanie and Frank Sikora. Also predeceased by her brothers Stan, Frank and Joe Sikora, her sisters Alice ( Mrs. E. Kania), Marie ( Mrs. E. Daly), Francis (Mrs. J. Palango) and Jenny Sikora, her niece Marie (Mrs. F. Booth) and her nephew Clifford Sikora. She is survived by her nephews Frank Sikora, Norm and Greg Daly, Steve, Joe and Tony Palango, Mike and Dan Sikora and Larry Sikora as well as her nieces Vicki Fedorchuk, Barb Daly, Judy Sikora and Bernice Kania. Helen was a graduate of St. Michael's School of Nursing in Toronto, joined the RCAF in 1962 and served 20 years in Canada and in Europe with the Canadian NATO contigent in Germany. Retired from the military in 1982, she was a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax in Nursing Administration and York University in Toronto with a Humanities B.A. continuing towards a Masters in Classics from McMaster. Friends may call at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 1020 Upper James Street, on Friday, November 1 from 9:00 a.m.until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation of Our Lord Parish. 280 Limeridge Road West. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
