It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Harry Neumann aka Captain Danger after a lengthy and tenacious battle with cancer. Harry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife Sigrid, mother Lydia, son Adam (Courtney), daughter Erika (Paul), sisters Margot and Ellen (Ralph), as well as niece, Sarah and nephews Lucas and Gregory. Harry was an active member of the Macassa Bay Yacht Club where he volunteered his time as treasurer and he recently retired from 38 years in the financial services field, most recently operating his own business, Moneysmart Financial. Thank you to everyone who was involved in his care: Dr. Jackson, Dr. Young, Dr. Hotte, Dr. Sagar, Dr. Slaven and everyone at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. A special thanks to the caring staff at the Bob Kemp Hospice, VON nurse Kathy Whitworth, Helen Hart, Dorothy Sibanda, and Ksenia Kleban and CCAC caregiver Marj Watt. A private family service will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Friday, January 27, 2012 with interment to follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, Copetown. A celebration of Harry’s life will be held at Macassa Bay Yacht club, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bob Kemp Hospice, 277 Stonechurch Rd East, Hamilton ON would be appreciated.
