WASSERMAN, Jerry May 3, 1922 - February 22, 2013 At the age of 90, at Shalom Village, Hamilton. Beloved husband, best friend, and companion of Mildred for 62 years. Predeceased by his children Susan and Billy, parents William and Rebecca Wasserman, sister Shirley and brother Carrol. He is survived by his sister Bella, nephews Ron Swartz, Robert and Douglas Wasserman and Mark and Michael Granby. Jerry was a dedicated charter member of the CCB Skyway Club in Burlington, Honorary Life member of CCB and Hamilton Association member of the Ontario Division CCB for 12 years. He received the Book of Fame award in the Ontario Division CCB in 2003. Jerry was an electrical contractor with his father until his death and then on his own until retirement. Jerry was a Deacon at the King Street Baptist Church where he attended for many years. Also active in the Young Peoples Group and assisted with the Boys Brigade. He served the blind community and his church with compassion and enthusiasm. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Tuesday, February 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 27th at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Following the interment, a reception will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home Upper James Chapel, 1020 Upper James St. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the CNIB, Mount Hamilton Baptist Church or Shalom Village would be appreciated by the family.
