Gary Ross Mitchell

Gone to heaven with praise and peace and joy and love. Devoted husband to Shirley (née Emery) sharing 46 wonderful years together. Loving Dad to Bryan and Philip. Predeceased by his parents Ross and Vera Mitchell. Brother of Donna (Norm) Jackson, brother of Colleen (Barry) Zimmerman. Brother-in-law of Dave (Jean) Emery, brother-in-law of James (Claudette) Emery. Gary retired from Dofasco/Arcelor Mittal after 30 years of service. He worked at Discount Car and Truck Rentals before driving a school bus for Laidlaw/1st Student for 14 years. Gary was born in Campbellville and moved to Greensville when he was 13 and met the love of his life while roller skating. Gary’s greatest pleasure was enjoying his retirement, spending time with family, his friends and sharing stories as well as a few tall-tales. He enjoyed good food and good friendships. The Service in Celebration & Thanksgiving for the Life of Gary Ross Mitchell will be held at Bethel Gospel Tabernacle, 1355 Upper Wellington Street, Hamilton at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015.
