Passed peacefully with family by his side at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Loving life-partner of Justine Vickery for 24 years. Will be dearly missed by his mother Marjorie Colwill. Predeceased by father Eric Colwill. Gary’s many close friends already feel his loss. Gary is well known for his significant contribution to the Hamilton art scene; especially his paintings displayed at McMaster Athletic Department. Friends will be received at Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2012. The funeral service will be conducted from the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Grove Cemetery, Dundas to follow.
