Hello Kandy,
I just today heard about Fred passing away and I wanted to pass on my condolences. I worked with Fred at Price Wilson, Price Daxion, and Unisource beginning in the early 80's. We worked together on the night shift loading trucks at the beginning and I guess that is where we first became friends. Fred was one of the funniest people I have ever met. In fact, I still to this day quote him all the time....although many I can't repeat in mixed company :-)  He had a way of saying just the right thing (or making the right noise) to diffuse any tense situation. I will always remember his smile and his way of making people around him laugh. He was a really hard worker in those days and believe it or not he was my role model at the beginning of my career with Price Wilson. Knowing Fred played a big part in shaping me as a person. I know that may sound corny but he had that much of an impact on me. I am disappointed that we did not keep in touch after I left Unisource. Rest in Peace Freddie. I can just picture you gooning the big guy..............

Kandy, I was reading up on some newspapers I had put aside. I came across Fred's obit. I am so sorry for your loss. Fred was so good to you. I remember when the two of you started to see each other. You were living with me then & we would stay up late & you were positively giddy like a schoolgirl. I remember the day you got married, a beautiful day. His laugh was contagious. He treated Misty as if she was his. My heart goes out to Marg, Rachel & Rikki. Kandy ~ there are no words except I am sorry. You are in my prayers. His love is always with you.

My deepest sympathy to the Thompson family. I am very saddened on hearing of Fred's passing. I had the privilege of working with Fred for a number of years at Unisource. I will always remember his great sense of humour and uplifting spirit. He certainly was a wonderful man.

And, there is no love I can offer that will ever replace the love you shared

I will not deny it was a tragedy 
I will not lie and tell you he will come back 

He never really left 

I do promise he hears you when you speak 
I will say he loves you no matter the distance 
I will not deny he is in a better place 
And, I will not lie; he is waiting to greet you someday 

He is every you step you take 
He is in everything you do 
He is the air you breathe 
He is every beat of your heart 

" He is like the wind. You can not see him...but you will always feel him"

I never really gave it much thought of the word brother-in-law but its a good term for a man that was like a brother to me,you gave so much to my sister and mother that i shall be forever grateful! I will miss you on the turkey hunt but i know you will be watching.  Love your brother Rex

Uncle Fred was an awesome uncle. He was the type of guy that would do anything for you, no questions asked. I have very fond memories of him..great dinner conversations and fun visits. I will always remember your kindness and generous nature uncle Fred. You're loved and will be missed.

Papa you are a amazing roll model any girl can ask for thank you for all your great advice and giving me heck when I needed it you will and always will hold a special place in my heart I will miss you untill we meet again papa R.I.P.

My dad was a real father to me even though he didnt have to be, he just wanted to. I know that must of have been tough sometimes. He known as "Papa" by my girls. He was the kind of grandpa any kid would feel lucky to have. They'd ice cream for lunch and cookies for supper. His reponse "that's what they wanted" you couldnt ask for better. On the serious side he was loving and attentive, he cherished my girls and I, and we felt because he showed it to us in so many ways. We will LOVE him forever, MISS always and KEEP him our hearts until we are with him again.
