Fred was born in Guernsey, C.I, on March 26, 1925 and passed away on May 29th, 2023, at the age of 98, surrounded by his loving family at the Hamilton General Hospital.
Beloved husband of Zillah for 75 years. Loving father to Roy (Angie) and Rosemary Farkas (Bob). Dear Grandfather and Great-Grandfather to 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Fred is survived by one sister, and predeceased by one sister and five brothers.
A special thank you to the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital for their kindness and compassion throughout Fred’s stay at the Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (East of Sanford Ave) Hamilton, (905.528.6303), Thursday, June 1st, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Erskine Presbyterian Church, 19 Pearl Street North, Hamilton, on Friday June 2nd 2023, at 11:00am. Reception to follow service. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hamilton General Hospital.
