Freda K. Lane

With great sadness we announce that Freda Keyworth Lane passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the age of 95. She is reunited with her beloved husband Owen “Ollie” (2001). Loving mother of Jeanette (Martin) and proud and loving grandmother of Talen, Blake, and Jacob McGraw. She will also be fondly remembered by her son-in-law Brent McGraw, her step-grandson Jesse Urlocker and his family, family in England, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Williams and brother Joseph Holding.

Freda worked as a secretary in England at EMI Records where she met many artists of that era. She immigrated to Canada in 1959. She was the Parish Secretary at Grace Anglican Church where she was also a very active member. She was loved by many; she lived a full and active life enjoying travel, knitting, and scrapbooking but her greatest love and joy was her grandsons.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and the Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton on Wednesday, November 20th at 1 pm, with Visitation 1 hour prior.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by her family.
