Elizabeth "Betty" Patricia Boyle

Beloved wife of 66 years to Joseph Nelson (deceased). Loving mother to Wayne, Kevin, Maureen Shenberger (Claude), Elizabeth Roscoe (Ron), Wendy Hickey and Rob. Cherished grandmother to Michael, Sarah, Aimee (Tim), Lucas, Nathan (Joana), Justin, Liam, Fiona and Emily. Great grandmother to Riley and Tessa. She is survived by her sisters Fabiola, Thelma and her sisters-in-law Jean of Prince Edward Island and Doris of Stoney Creek.

Born and raised in PEI, Betty and Joseph started a life together in Montreal before moving to Hamilton in 1959. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother who was committed to her family. Betty was also a devote catholic and prayer was a fundamental part of her daily life. She was rarely seen without her rosary. The family would like to thank the staff of Concession House at Extendicare for their kindness, and wonderful care of Betty.

Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Wednesday, August 23rd starting at 9:30am with service to follow at 11am. The service is available to watch through livestream, using the link on the funeral home website. A light lunch will be provided following the service prior to internment. Interment will take place in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
