Edna Judith Mackrory

MACKRORY, Edna Judith At home, Edna passed away on August 6, 2012, at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Mike. Loving mother to Jim, Susan and her husband Trevor Blanchette. Grandma to Katie (Mike), Megan, Christopher and Cooper. Great- grandma to Braxton and Janella. Predeceased by her brother Paul (July 29, 2012). Dearly missed by her extended family and friends. Edna saw the importance of volunteer work and dedicated her life in doing so. She could be found at the Canadian Open as a volunteer mostly in the score tent, at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, at the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board in various capacities as a volunteer, also at St. Elizabeth's Village Social Committee. She was a leader with the Girl Guides of Canada for many years and spent many summers at Camp Kiawa. She was a member at Chedoke Golf Club since the late fifties until the nineties and active in the Ladies Section. She always thought of others and enjoyed being out there meeting new people and reconnecting with friends. Edna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Visitation for Edna will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
