Predeceased by her devoted husband of 44 years, William (“Bill”) Greenwood. Loved and cherished by her children: Richard (Sharon Montgomery), Virginia Armond (Sonny), Connie, and Leeanne (David Livesey). She will be missed by her 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed many hobbies: gardening, sewing, rug hooking, and quilting. She believed in the healing power of Teddy Bears, and handmade, then gifted over 800 bears to people she thought could use their magic.
Dorothy was also involved in her community. In recognition of her leadership, she received: a Special Award for her Ministry of Music to the New Westminster Presbyterian Church, and Lifetime Achievement Award – Women's Missionary Society. She also had a beautiful voice. During her lifetime, she performed in local theatre and opera productions. She directed the Y.W.C.A. Seniors’ Choir for 25 years, and in recognition of her commitment, was nominated for the Hamilton Senior Citizen of the Year Award.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a donation in memory of Dorothy Greenwood be sent to the Financial Reward Program of the Hamilton Children’s Choir to create a scholarship in her name.
