Dorothy Joyce Arnold

Peacefully passed away at Shalom Village at the age of 100. She is pre-deceased by her parents Angus and Elsie, brother Angus and sister Verda. She is also pre-deceased by her longtime loving companion John Rothwell. Dorothy will be missed by her extended family and friends.

She was an elementary school teacher in Hamilton who touched the lives of many. She had a passion for music and was a longtime member of the Centenary United Church (now New Vision United Church) choir. Dorothy will be remembered by her sweet smile, kind and joyful personality, good sense of humour and her gratefulness for everything that people did for her.

Special thanks to Dorothy's very devoted caregivers, Elly Veldhuis (deceased), her daughter Paulina Moran, and also Juliet, Emma and Nora and the staff at Shalom Village for their care and support over the years. She was always known to bless the staff each time she saw them and also lovingly called them “honey”.

Cremation has taken place. Interment at Burkholder Cemetery, 465 Mohawk Rd E, Hamilton, on Tuesday December 14 at 11am.
