Doreen May West

After a courageous and tough battle with cancer, Doreen passed away on January 20, 2012. Doreen will be welcomed by the awaiting arms of her husband, Robert. Doreen was in her 76th year and will be sadly missed by her children Robert (Marg), Joni (Ron), Martin (Judy) and Michael (Tammy). Nana will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Bobbi, Michael, Caiti, Brandi, Shelby, Robbie, Rebecca, Hannah, Jenna and Caitlin and great-grandchildren Lydia, Charleigh and Sydney. Doreen will also be missed by her sister Helen Lambert, and her best friend Shirley McKay and husband Ted, and by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the caring staff of the Juravinski Hospital, for the care and compassion mom received. Friends will be received at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday, January 24,2012 at 1p.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
