Donald John Brown

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don at the Juravinski Hospital on February 2, 2014 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Joan for 56 years. Loving father of Keith (Dianna), Scott (Joey), Donna and the late Cam (the late Carrie). Cherished Papa of Jeff, Nicole (Steve), Chelsea (Jason), Jordan, Sean and Evan. Dear brother of Allan (Karin) and Bruce (Rose). Special brother-in-law of Ray (Beth) Harris. Will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Don was a Master Plumber and Steamfitter for over 60 years working for Robert Young Plumbing and Heating and Bosanac Heating. He enjoyed being a scout leader as well as a baseball coach for Rosedale Community Council. Don was a dedicated TiCats Fan and was a season’s ticketholder for 56 years, not to mention an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens, San Francisco Giants and Cleveland Browns. Special thanks to all the amazing staff of Complex Medical Rehab, M2 at the Juravinski Hospital for their exceptional care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-8pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11am. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
