David John Jones

Dave passed peacefully surrounded by family after a brief and sudden stay in palliative care at St. Peter's Hospital. Dave lived a life rooted in family. He was a loving husband to Jackie (Beattie), his wife of 38 years. He was a devoted father to Kelly Walsh (Mike), and Jannean, and grandfather to Bradley Walsh, Leah Walsh, River Reid, and Sydney Reid. Dave leaves behind siblings, Diane Voyer (John), Denise Carpenter (Howie) and their families. He was predeceased by his loving parents, William and Florence, and his brother, Billy. Dave will be missed by his sister-in-law, Valerie (Bhikkhuni Tinh Quang).

Dave's family meant everything to him. He found joy in bringing everyone together. Often inspired by his love of the French River, he incorporated treasures from his time there into his stories of fishing and nature. He also loved the Ti-Cats and the Maple Leafs. Dave could be found with a big smile at his grandchildren's visits. He will be deeply missed.

The family want to extend appreciation for the care Dave received at Juravinski Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Cresmont Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East in Hamilton on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11 a.m., till 3 p.m.
