It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Danny “Kozak” Prokopetz in his 82nd year. All who knew him will miss his passion for life, his pride in his Ukrainian heritage, and his warm caring heart. You were our rock and will be sadly missed. Danny was predeceased by his loving wife Pat of 60 years. Beloved father to Rosalie and Melina (Mike). Cherished Dido of Michael (Julie), Steven, Natasha and Pradid to Ava and Alexa. Dear brother to the late Billy and the late Olga. Danny will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with Panachyda at 7:30pm. Funeral service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Donations to Danny’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
