Peacefully in her sleep at St. Joseph’s Hospital on April 17th in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years Joe. Devoted mother of Kathy MacFarland (Brian), John (Rose) and Al. Cherished grandmother to Jenny (Dave), John (Lindsay), Bethany and Jordan and loving great-grandmother to Nathan, Jacob, Daniel, Chloe & Olivia. Survived by her siblings Audrey Baxter & Fred Bishop, predeceased by Joyce Bradley, Robert Bishop and Don Bishop and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Betty was a proud veteran of World War II. The family would like to express our thanks to the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their caring and open communication during mom’s short stay. Also a very special thank you to the wonderful nursing and support staff at the Lilac Gardens unit of St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas for the love and care provided to mom the past 7 years. Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Monday from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
